Introduction
The British Biology Olympiad was created in 1995, to stimulate students with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents. It is one of the largest science competitions in the UK. It enables students to demonstrate their knowledge and to be suitably rewarded and publicly recognized through medals, certificates and other prizes.
Each year, the top-performing team will represent the UK in the International Biology Olympiad (IBO), offering opportunities to earn medals, certificates, and valuable awards while encouraging students to pursue biology beyond A-Level.
In 2024, for the first time, the British Biology Olympiad was organized for students in Vietnam and Singapore by SOON CHENG.

The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) is designed for high school students from grades 10 to 12.
Besides BBO, there are other biology competitions tailored for different age groups:

Both competitions take place after BBO and help students develop their biology knowledge at a more suitable level.

AWARD
Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals, along with Highly Commended and Commended awards, and get the chance to compete in the Global Finals.
📌 Ranking criteria:
British competitors are ranked based on their total scores, with the following percentages:
Gold: Top 5%
Silver: Top 15%
Bronze: Top 30%
Giải Highly Commended: Top 45%
Giải Commended: Top 60%
📌Noted:
Competitors from other countries are not ranked together with their British competitors, but are compared by the boundaries. Asian competitors with good results will therefore have an increased chance of receiving an award.

Upon receiving confirmation from the organizing committee, the school sends a copy of the payment receipt for the exam fee to the bank as instructed.

No, there are no specific pre-requisites for joining the competition. The ASDAN
Business Simulation is a platform for you to learn and develop your knowledge in
business and entrepreneurship – all it takes is curiosity and interest to participate!
Participants are required to bring along the essential items listed below:
Stationeries such as notebooks, pens, and colored pencils...
Laptops for presentations (at least 1 laptop per team)
Smartphones for system access.
Attire: formal (trousers, vest or skirt, formal shoes), school uniform is recommended
All details about the program will be transferred to candidates through email and Zalo support by the Organizing Committee, ensuring that parents and students will receive all necessary information.
The competitions do not require a specific level of English. However, all the international competitions coordinated and organized by Soon Cheng are all in English, participants will need a basic level of English to understand and complete the questions.
The awards of all competitions are internationally recognized by prestigious academic organizations in the world such as ASDAN UK, UK Math Trust, Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Chemical Institute of Canada, ...
In some cases, to ensure the quality of the competition, the organizers may limit the number of candidates who can register to participate.
