The Harvard Crimson Business Competition (HCBC) 2026 Global Round officially began on June 25 at Harvard University, bringing together outstanding high school students from around the world. This year, five Vietnamese teams joined hundreds of international participants for a week of learning, collaboration, and business innovation.
During the Opening Ceremony, participants were recognized for earning their place among more than 700 business proposals submitted globally, reflecting their creativity, initiative, and entrepreneurial potential.
The first day focused on business fundamentals, practical application, and global networking. Students attended a keynote session by Heather Henriksen, Chief Sustainability Officer at Harvard University, who shared insights into Harvard’s sustainability initiatives and emphasized the role of innovation in addressing global challenges.
Participants also took part in Business Basics workshops, where they explored core concepts such as idea development, elevator pitching, feasibility analysis, competitive advantage, ethical considerations, and strategic planning. These sessions provided essential foundations for the competition journey ahead.
In addition, students engaged in an interactive networking workshop designed to enhance communication skills and foster meaningful connections with peers from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
