The ASEEDER Business Simulation (ABS) 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Regional Round took place on March 29–30, 2025, at UK Academy, Binh Thanh, Vietnam, drawing 111 young innovators from across the nation. This vibrant event not only highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of Vietnamese students but also welcomed leading educators and professionals who lent their insight and guidance to ensure a meaningful and impactful experience.

Among the distinguished judges was Mr. David Dunlap, a seasoned educator from the United States with nearly a decade of teaching experience in Asia. Currently serving as the IGCSE Business Studies teacher at Superpower National School, Mr. Dunlap holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. His academic expertise and international background brought a global perspective to the competition.

As a judge, Mr. Dunlap evaluated participants through various stages of the business simulation, offering thoughtful feedback and mentorship. Reflecting on the importance of such platforms, he shared:
“What really matters in a competition like ABS is the courage to take risks and the ability to communicate. These young entrepreneurs are learning to pitch their ideas with confidence, to stand before others and present something they truly believe in. That’s powerful preparation for the real world.”
He emphasized that communication skills, combined with boldness and self-belief, are crucial ingredients for entrepreneurial success. “Go for it. Don’t listen to the naysayers,” he advised, encouraging students to surround themselves with driven, successful individuals who can inspire and uplift them.”

With the top 35% advancing to the World Youth Economic Forum (WYEF) 2025 Global Finals, Mr. Dunlap expressed pride in the level of innovation and resilience displayed throughout the event.
